36DROPS - Vessels of Hope
36DROPS is a collection of one-of-a-kind original vessels/vases. Hand-built from clay painted in a wild array of glazes.
The name of this collection, 36DROPS, is derived from the design of the base/bottom of each vessel. Inadvertently the shape of a drop revealed itself within the creative process. Apropos for the time of COVID. So many teardrops have fallen.
Each vase is a counterreaction to sorrow. The colors and forms combined exude an unabashed playfulness. 36DROPS are vessels of hope.
One-of-a-kind ceramic vase, glazed and meticulously hand built. Drop 12 is an illusion vase. There is a portal at the bottom of the vase, causing one to think that water would spill out. It does not. The upper half of the vase holds water for flowers. The vase is embellished with a one-of-a-kind ceramic bead tethered by a leather cord.
