36DROPS - Vessels of Hope
36DROPS is a collection of one-of-a-kind original vessels/vases. Hand-built from clay painted in a wild array of glazes.
The name of this collection, 36DROPS, is derived from the design of the base/bottom of each vessel. Inadvertently the shape of a drop revealed itself within the creative process. Apropos for the time of COVID. So many teardrops have fallen.
Each vase is a counterreaction to sorrow. The colors and forms combined exude an unabashed playfulness. 36DROPS are vessels of hope.
One-of-a-kind ceramic vase, glazed and meticulously hand built. Drop 13 is an illusion vase. There is a portal at the bottom of the vase, causing one to think that water would spill out. It does not. The upper half of the vase holds water for flowers.
